So, what exactly is Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother and Me about? According to Blackstone Publishing's official site, the book talks about Whoopi's life with Emma and Clyde, who are both deceased, sharing personal anecdotes of their lives. As she told People in the exclusive reveal, she wants the memoir to be a way to help those who have lost loved ones in their lives.

"This book is dedicated to my mother and my brother and our time together as a small, funny little unit," she told the outlet. "It’s dedicated to anyone who’s found themselves on a scary path not of their choosing or dealing with loss."

It's important to note this isn't Whoopi's first time writing a book. She's authored a number of titles in her lifetime, including the Sugar Plum Ballerina series and the upcoming graphic novel The Change in July 2024.
